@givenup This isn't trying to force God's hand IMO, because Esau had already violated the covenant by mixing with 3️⃣ Canaanite ladies AND God had already declared that Jacob was the successor of the blessing. This was forcing Isaac's hand. Maybe a technicality, but I think it is different.
