@simeon I think it does. Especially if you make such a break in the customer journey by going on the website to enter your shipment address, credit card etc.
Also I would like to build features like “Get these 3 records for under 50€” which would be driven by the recommendation system. It helps that the user does not need to fillup the basket again.
In the end most stores are just happy to sell more. (its a tough business)
