   Last week, someone purchased records worth a total of €200 through Recordfy. (I get a commission)

   When I started this project, I wanted to have a different business model, something other than simply creating an app and selling it on the App Store.
   When people ask, I usually tell them I’m running an eCommerce biz.

   I’m really happy with how things are progressing. More record stores are joining the platform, and people are starting to love the product.

     @simeon Right now you will be directed to the Store‘s website. I'm planing in future to add directly payment into the app (some Record stores would give it a try), but it’s a little bit scary (especially the legal part)

     How does the purchasing work? They buy records through the app and pick them up in the store?

     @simeon I think it does. Especially if you make such a break in the customer journey by going on the website to enter your shipment address, credit card etc.

     Also I would like to build features like “Get these 3 records for under 50€” which would be driven by the recommendation system. It helps that the user does not need to fillup the basket again.

     In the end most stores are just happy to sell more. (its a tough business)

     @obrhoff Do you think more people will make purchases if they can do so through the app?

     I can imagine that records store owners are happy with the (extra) traffic to their site (which is an online asset they control) that they currently get.
