I used to view Anarcho-Communism as a viable alternative to capitalism, but I've long since abandoned it. A post-capitalist society will need a state to repress counter-revolutionaries and prevent the restoration of capitalism. After reading "On Authority" by Friedrich Engels, along with other books such as Lenin's "State and Revolution," I became convinced that a Marxist-Leninist socialist state is the most viable alternative to capitalism.
