With Microsoft exiting the game console market and Nintendo doing... Nintendo things I guess, there's going to be a big vacuum for PlayStation alternatives in the coming years.

I think this will be the perfect opportunity for Valve to re-launch their Steam Machines, given the state SteamOS is in. I hope Valve will actually go that route, and not only focus on handhelds.

Having multiple PlayStation competitors running SteamOS would be awesome. Otherwise Sony will squeeze the console market dry.
