@can @yahe They lost the PS4 / Xbox One era and now customers are locked in their platform with their digital library. I don’t see how a next generation will fix this.

Pink (can@haz.pink)'s status on Monday, 06-Jan-2025 14:46:53 JST Pink With Microsoft exiting the game console market and Nintendo doing... Nintendo things I guess, there's going to be a big vacuum for PlayStation alternatives in the coming years.
I think this will be the perfect opportunity for Valve to re-launch their Steam Machines, given the state SteamOS is in. I hope Valve will actually go that route, and not only focus on handhelds.
Having multiple PlayStation competitors running SteamOS would be awesome. Otherwise Sony will squeeze the console market dry.
