I never made any assertion about a “true socialist state” because I don’t know what one is or if it is even possible or desirable. But I am saying that there is are probably degrees to which you can get ML praxis wrong, and I think North Korea has crossed that wide fuzzy line separating right from wrong. It is probably the only country I would never want to go to because the police there are so paranoid and unrestrained.
Cuba or Vietnam, on the other hand, I am genuinely curious how realistic it would be for me to immigrate to those countries.
