Ann is close personal friend of over 25 years. She struggled with this for a long time, very unhappy with the direction WaPo was heading, culminating with the non-endorsement decision by Bezos. This was the last straw. She held on to keep her voice being heard on that platform, but now can't justify with this latest development.
