@CleverMoniker @stoner713 @Escoffier @JohnSmith87298753 the problem is the "hyper-" portion - you can very easily get to a regime in an inflationary system where you lose all ability to control it.

We are very near to that point now - at the point where interest on debt becomes the major portion of spending, it's much easier for people to say "fuck it" and run up debt until people stop buying it.
