This is why I say more info, regardless of how awful and unpleasant that info is, is always better. The more accurste of a "worst case" I can mentally assemble, the better I can either brace for impact, or become aware that the vaguer idea I previously had is worse than the reality.
Holes in info is where my brain fills in the absolute worst "Aaaaaaahhh!!!!!!"
