@c well given that klk if did the same thing where you were withheld from playing as ryuko until you beat satsuki's half of the story in singleplayer, i guess there's an anticipation aspect to it, the more you tease and withhold it, the more excited people are to finally get it and stuff
idk though i had no problem with it, though i would've preferred if sparda got more use time and didn't get immediately replaced with DSD because its my favorite of dante's swords
