I’ve never had to do this ever. I lose some PSI over time but nothing like that. Not even close. And I run at the top of the pressure range for my tubes, which aren’t anything special as far as I know. Something else is going on.

(I refill when I clean my chain which is about every three weeks in summer, more like 40 days in winter; it’s distance-travelled-based.)
