Even more infuriating was that nothing showed up in the HomeKit logs. The switch didn't report a motion event. Nothing, nothing, nothing, then power on events for all the lights.

I thought I was going nuts. I spent half the afternoon turning off the lights then waving around like the air noodle in front of a used car lot until the lights turned on again, and then looking around for anything that looked like a motion sensor.
