   Our living room smart lights had been turning themselves on randomly for the last few weeks. There were no automations triggering this. Not even motion sensors in the same room! And yet, I’d stand up and the lights came on.

   Today I learned the new Nanoleaf switch has a motion sensor built in.

     Even more infuriating was that nothing showed up in the HomeKit logs. The switch didn't report a motion event. Nothing, nothing, nothing, then power on events for all the lights.

     I thought I was going nuts. I spent half the afternoon turning off the lights then waving around like the air noodle in front of a used car lot until the lights turned on again, and then looking around for anything that looked like a motion sensor.
