@Paleface @PodunkPotato @doctorsex this whole question is why this whole situation is wild. Musk in theory wants to have a highly competent company to get to mars. The whole idea of him trying to save money doesn't jive well with how much money he is throwing at the mars rocket.

If he were merely trying to make a shit ton of money, he could just iterate on the falcon 9 and relax.
