    @timonus @ErikUden apple hardware for the most part have been "personal computers", just not "WC's".

    GNU/Linux does support HEIC just fine via libheif, but that requires using an image viewer compiled to support HEIC (I just use GIMP to view the odd HEIC file).

    Meanwhile, windows has extremely poor support for HEIC.
