By the way I didnt start carrying a gun until the mob made legitimate threats (and tried to execute on them with at least one assault) on both me and my family. This didnt even take place in the USA originally but i did have to flee back to the USA where I started carrying (as this mob had global reach).

Willing to guarantee the day people threaten to kill you and your entire family and the police tell you "sorry we cant help" is the day you arm yourself too. Most people are anti-gun right up until they need one.
