@AngelicAura at least as far as copyright is concerned, the "right to repair" kind of exists beyond consumer electronics – in the sense that there was a verdict that established that a lawful user of software can reverse engineer it to fix a bug affecting it without asking the copyright holder's permission.

Newag argues (ridiculously) that Dragon Sector guys did not "fix" the software as they did not modify it on the controllers. They "only" reverse engineered it and re-set some NVRAM vars.
