@wordshaper @mekkaokereke It seems crazy, but it really isn't. We see this over and over as genocidal movements rise to power. It's not because the intended victims are measurably different from other populations.

In fact you can see the same discussions sped up to hours rather than years when a devastating weather system is forecast to hit a populated area. Normalcy bias and survivor bias both play a role.
