Because we are minorities, because we are targets of oppression, because we exist in communities where everybody's familiar with "theory", it's very easy to slip into an assumption we have racism "solved". And then when racist behavior crops up we ignore or excuse it— because *we* are not a racist community, ergo that must not be real racism.
