I do however make a point of contacting providers that currently only publish on the PlayStrore , e.g. banks, energy companies etc. And politely request that they consider making their apps available on other stores such as f-droid. Several have expressed interest in doing so. I think it's a case of raising awareness that not everyone uses Google.
