Evan Prodromou@rasterweb I don't think that is how QR codes work. QR codes mostly encode URLs. I think most QR code readers require that you click to go to the URL. Many apps on phones also have URLs, and I could definitely imagine QR codes that exploit bugs in apps to cause errors or steal data. But what is described here is very hard to do. It would have to abuse some very basic parts of the phone operating system.
