@vriska its commonly compared to how ragebait outperforms professional journalism but I don't think the comparison is accurate because gamejournos aren't remotely as professional, knowledgeable, or hardworking as even mid-tier regular journalists. they are paid so little. as paltry the value of anti woke rage bait, it's got more economic value than boring essays about games. if they were good essays it might be different.
