- Embed this noticeI checked Wikipedia and asked an AI for a list of ANYBODY in the CIA that has ever been prosecuted for misconduct in the USA in the commission of their work, and I could only find two; a guy that gave contracts to his friends, and a guy that raped women in Algeria.
Everybody else was either convicted for giving classified info to foreign governments that aren't Israel, or for whistleblowing.
Possible exceptions: watergate, iran-contra.
Basically came from a simple question, has the agency ever been punished for misconduct, seems like no.
