- Embed this notice@lucy @k4t3 Politically we are also completely fucked in similar ways. Years ago it mostly transformed into smear campaigns and putting blame on the opposition while doing absolutely nothing worthwhile.
General living costs are slightly lower and the housing market is also less expensive. Owning an apartment or a house is still almost impossible in today's economy if you weren't born a millionaire.
Energy costs are up ~30% since 2022 and probably will never drop down more as companies just saw an opportunity to milk people out of their money.
Food prices are around the same as in Germany and sometimes even higher (high prices-big sales mentality)
Salaries are almost exactly half of the Germans ones and most people live paycheck to paycheck.
Unironically the best way to live here is to work in Germany/Austria near the border and own a house in the countryside.
