@trjjb mushrooms even for culinary purposes are fraught. If you read stuff from foraging people there is a class of "this *might* be safe to eat" and they always have reports of people getting violently ill, and no-one knows if they maybe had too much, didn't cook it enough, got one that was somehow infected.
