Elena Brescacin@_elena There's one thing I don't know how to explain in a positive way, besides placing a ☣️ at the end (sorry, it's an HIV related double-meaning by my best friend whom I quoted). But, seriously, what I can't explain to "mainstream" folks as an advantage, is that Fediverse is very fragmented. You have Mastodon, Friendica, Sharkey and so on, everyone with its pros and cons but even being able to talk to every platform, choice of where to join is not so immediate.
