@pyrate @WoodshopHandman indeed, remember if war is politics by other means, politics is simply war by other means. Saying "there is no political solution" can then be akin to saying "there is no solution." Cutting yourself off from solutions seems like a way to focus energy, but it seems like that might be using the wrong tool to focus it.
