I literally turned 70 years old a few weeks ago and I LOVE reading these "retarded boomer dad" stories. I'm slightly above-average intelligence and I could never understand why virtually ALL of my contemporaries were such morons. And as a NS, they have all completely ostracized me long, long ago.
You guys completely nailed it. As far as why, all I can say is the drugs were as ubiquitous as they were brain-damaging.
