@davidtoddmccarty The longer I live, the more I've come to think that it isn't a need for spirituality as much has it is a need for comfort.

Spirituality offers a path to that, but then so does so much else, though some not as civilizing as spirituality and religion. As much as we like to think of ourselves as rule breakers, we actually crave structure if we believe it can provide comfort, both today and tomorrow.
