I think the more interesting problem would to think of Climate Stalin in terms of great man theory, or as it is called in Marxism, jefatura (“great leadership”). According to jefatura theory, a great leader is supposedly proven in practice, not something to be declared or claimed.

Still, I don't think that's the point of problematizing Climate Stalin as I'm more concerned about the carceral and authoritarian implications of this impotent desire to gulag and execute the people destroying the world.
