I mean it still has some relevance, but things like the API integrations getting busted (leading to almost everyone voluntarily retiring their share features), advertisers wanting nothing to do with the site, and the userbase becoming an insipid far right echo chamber have moved mountains in terms of losing them all of the social capital they may have once had. And in terms of who is leading the migrations, like, I have complete normie friends who either don't know what the fediverse is or have a vague understanding that it's a drama-filled hellscape and to a man, they have all landed on Bluesky and quit using X for good.
