@p @Yoruka @ins0mniak Yeah, just just don't need to do this kind of stuff, in fact I just checked and bmake includes a ./make-bootstrap.sh script (less than 100 lines) that's effectively a simplified version of the Makefile (over 200 lines).

And you can compile GNU make with probably any make implementation as even pdpmake just works for it.
