@realcaseyrollins It sounds like a short-seller was betting that the price would drop, but it didn't.

(In the stock world, shorts typically borrow shares then sell them, expecting to be able to re-buy the same number of shares for less in the near future. If it doesn't pan out, they still have to re-buy the shares and return them to the lender. I don't know whether there's such a market on the cryptocurrency exchanges.)
