The extremely rich will always be able to do what they please, and it's difficult to legislate against that. But the fact that reasonably well off people are able to send their children to public schools is (IMO) extremely damaging to society. So yes, if we could just close them all down tomorrow it'd be deliriously happy, but in the meantime making them less affordable is a good first step in my book.
