The route planning on Google maps has gotten incredibly bad in the last year. Whatever AI or algorithmic 🐂💩 they've done is hot garbage.

For instance every time I drive from SFO down to Monterey, it tries extremely hard to route me over highway 17 which goes over the Santa Cruz Mountains and claims it's the fastest and most efficient route versus the much less mountainous and much faster highway 101 route.

And the worst is it will silently reroute me... (1/n)
