@Humpleupagus @AshChapelsGhost I'm a millennial and maybe I can't speak with the most authority but going by what I perceieve to be Gen X culture I find a key theme is serious distrust of authority and cynicism from coming into adulthood in the 90s and being trapped in a corporate hellscape (ie cubicle work depicted in American Beauty, Fight Club, and Office Space). Millennials were bitter because we graduated into a recession and the comforts of previous generations weren't allotted to us. Gen X seems to have had a comfier life than we did and didn't appreciate it.
