    Well, looking at Affinity's and Photoshop's docs, their recommended is surprisingly the same as the stroke method in Gimp. Props to Gimp for not being a bork.HOWEVER, Affinity has a shapebuilder tool and Photoshop offers more than the ellipse and rectangle that Gimp offers.
