Like, people think it's a commie state but there was a proposition to increase minimum wage, that was shut down something like 70/30, rent control was shut down. There was an amendment to abolish prison labor and that didn't pass (it should have, the prison system here is fucked), but they *did* pass a law to turn drug possession into a felony if you have enough offenses. That's stuff people wouldn't expect from California, I think, but you know, weird state.
