seungjinDemocracy is not designed for a well-educated elite who don’t need to worry about their next rent payment or food for the coming week. It is for and by average or below-average people with lower incomes and less education. Also elections cannot be guaranteed to produce the most efficient and beneficial outcomes. I am very surprised that it has survived and is run by the richest countries, even though many other political systems have failed.
