@lightweight There is no "CO₂ budget" - unless an individual does something like insane amounts of arson, the amount of CO₂ an individual can release is negligible - this include fireworks.

The real driver of CO₂ emissions is businesses - they are the ones who actually emit the huge amounts of CO₂ with their needlessly wasteful activities, just because they can, or because they think that doing so will be profitable.
