@rose @navi Best is AppImage doesn't even do static, it's just an executable archive with a runtime target, you still need devs and their utter lack of system knowledge to figure what they need to ship in said archive.

And well the decompressor isn't a static executable, so for things like scripts and static executables like with Java/Go/Rust/… you're loosing in portability.
