@ScribblersEmporium @persagen Luddites isn't the right word. And luddite doesn't mean what most think it means. There are a lot of other adjectives for that arrogant, wilfully-ignorant, power-hungry, science-illiterate, xenophobic, religious zealot, short-sighted, piece of crap. ;)

It really is a crime that Alberta wasn't taking advantage of its oil wealth to plan ahead and be a world leader in green energy. It was an amazing opportunity that they just let lapse.
