Charlie Stross@BrideOfLinux @jackwilliambell I'm bringing this up because I'm still sore: I worked at old-SCO until 1995, when it was a respectable UNIX VAR, and McBride trashed a formerly solid brand so hard that if new-SCO had still operated in the UK after 1998 I could have sued them for defamation (over what they did to my tech resume—employers and employees in the UK have a legal obligation not to besmirch one another's reputation).
