november 2nd is supposed to be observed too as the day of the dead but since only november 1st is a national holiday you'll get people doing grave visiting on the 1st
I fucking swear halloween used to be observed a normal amount when I was a kid and then a wave of people saying it's an american thing happened. Not even just me growing out of the age, I've noticed this for parents with young children too.
