      My attempt at Tim Garrett’s model☝️ in bullet point form: - everything in life is pushing energy along networks - all networks are built of matter - having built a network, there is a corresponding energy demand to keep that network functional - but networks are always in the process of decay so they always need maintenance and renewal - too little and it decays, too much and there is a window for growth and for power laws to do their thing - and here we are #climateDiary #decroissance 2/6

      Apropos some kinds of posts I keep seeing… System change not climate change goes the saying. That’s true. The oil companies funded denial and corruption and are doing so today. That’s true. But it’s also us. Big time. And until we start to face that and make changes voluntarily: - Stop eating meat and dairy - Stop urban driving when we don't need to - Stop flying - Buy the absolute minimum of discretionary shit …we’re screwed. Blaming oil execs ain’t gonna make any difference at all :/
