Imagine creating something at the age of 15, getting amazing feedback, thousands of youtubers and streamers creating content off your idea, millions enjoying it. And after years of everyone enjoying that content and many spin-offs freely in the spirit of the early Minecraft community, Microsoft steps in and wants a piece of the pie, with people copying the idea and name and selling what was previously free, for money.
And all you want is keep the name you came up with, for other people not to claim to be "the original", to maybe build your own game in the future. I think that's deserved. Good luck to Noobcrew.
I encourage everyone to check out the first two posts in the linked thread and share this. Maybe, just maybe, it can reach the right people, or just enough of them. Post it in various places, spread awareness. Have a discussion, about this case or similar ones.
Also, fuck Microsoft.
And, as a former Minecraft modder:
Fuck the Minecraft Marketplace.
