Had my breakfast (first coffee of the day included) and felt like diving back into an old favorite ROMhack... and realized almost immediately that I somehow misplaced the patched ROM, so I had to go grab that again and redo it.

Going back to vanilla Zelda II seems like it would be pretty damn difficult for me to do at this point, honestly.
