Are you referring to the specific issue of companies such as Microsoft ignoring the code's license when gathering training data or something else entirely?
Open source is not the ethic by itself, it's ethic sometimes calling for open source and sometimes for closed.I also don't know what this means. I never mentioned open source, I don't think the open source movement is very concerned about ethics.
Personally I also don't believe we're living in a "end of history" era either, but and that doesn't have anything to do with my opinions on freedom.
