Open source is not the ethic by itself, it's ethic sometimes calling for open source and sometimes for closed. And looking at current context, I have changed my mind on neutrality of technology that was assumed during "The End of History" era.

Game engines for offline games must be the only place where obfuscation of algorithm (writing your own custom game engine that gets compiled into machine code) is more powerful than using common engine with encryption (cus key gets stored locally).

After some thinking, I am leaning with #Godot to use for Mastodon client I want to make, folks seem to want me to try it for non-game too. I have no time to learn frameworks or nor support max potential app, just demonstrate my vision.

Hm, Godot... When talking with websites, that may or may not be Mastodon, can it do so securely? Can it do all the required network things with Fedi? Hmm manipulate files like uploading from anywhere on hard drive or download files?

Reading Godot 4.3 reminds me how much more Meta VR headsets more popular than say Valve. Which makes me sad.
